“Hunter’s Moon” by Don Hoesel
When CJ Baxter left his hometown seventeen years ago, he never expected to set foot there again. Although he’s an accomplished writer, CJ’s life is slowly unraveling: his latest book has received bad reviews, his soon to be ex-wife has locked him out of his bank account and his house, and now there is a warrant out for his arrest. The death of his grandfather brought him back to Adelia, NY where generations of Baxters have lived in wealth and prestige, and family secrets are something that you can be killed for.
“Hunter’s Moon”, the second book by Don Hoesel, is filled with interesting small town characters where everyone knows each other and all the latest gossip can be learned from the town diner. After the first 2 chapters, the story picks up and the plot thickens, and long told secrets begin to be revealed.
